AUTUMN ACTIVITIES

Autumn is always a busy time for the MRT team as we prepare for the planting season and combat the pest plants that are growing so well in this crazy weather. The team in the nursery has been very busy, preparing the seedlings and saplings so we have lots of strong plants to go out into the forest. We are also pleased to have been able to supply seeds to Ngāi Tai. We have started planting some of our special final phase trees - the giants of the forest that will last for hundreds of years adjacent to the Home Bay forest. We have also begun planting in a new area adjacent to the current forest very soon. Watch our Facebook site for information on future planting days.
