WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING?

A new area, next to the existing forest, has been planted over the winter months. Although limited ferry services have restricted volunteer numbers, we have had a busy and rewarding time getting pioneer species from the nursery into their new homes.

As the weather warms and the ground dries, our focus shifts to nurturing plants in the nursery and forest maintenance - looking after the tracks and dealing to the ever-present plant pests. This work continues right through summer and we are always looking for willing volunteers.
